Emergency help

No heating or hot water right now?

Tell us what's happening and we'll arrange an emergency call-out as quickly as we can. An online request is an appointment request — we'll ring you back to confirm a time, so if you need help this minute, please call us.

Online requests are appointment requests, subject to confirmation.

If you smell gas or your carbon monoxide alarm sounds, don't wait for us.

Call the free, 24-hour National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 (Relay UK: 18001 0800 111 999). Covers Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). Official guidance

Do

  • Open doors and windows to let fresh air in.
  • Turn off the gas supply at the meter control handle, unless the meter is in a cellar.
  • Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 (free, 24 hours).

Don't

  • Don't smoke or use any naked flames, including matches.
  • Don't turn electrical switches on or off.
  • Don't enter a cellar, even if your meter is there.

If you suspect carbon monoxide, move everyone into fresh air and call 0800 111 999. If someone has collapsed or has severe symptoms, call 999.

What we can come out for

  • No heating or hot water

Boiler won't fire, radiators stay cold, or the hot water has stopped.

  • A leaking boiler or pipework

Water where it shouldn't be — switch the boiler off at the controls and tell us.

  • Repeated lockouts or error codes

The boiler keeps cutting out or showing the same fault code again and again.

  • Banging, gurgling or whistling

Loud or new noises from the boiler, pipes or radiators that weren't there before.

Not on the list? Send the request anyway and describe what's happening — we'll tell you honestly whether it's an emergency or a normal appointment.
